One of the key components of the vision for CLCBC is to plant new churches in surrounding communities and around the world. A church planting mission opportunity is one where the primary focus is the establishment of a church or churches according to the New Testament pattern that become self-governing, self-sustaining and self-propagating.

A New Testament Church is one where the people are empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the following:

¨ Engage in a biblically-functioning community

(Acts 2:42-47 ; Ephesians 1:18-23 )

¨ Exalt God through worship and good works

(Psalm 100 ; Matthew 5:16 )

¨ Equip the saints for works of ministry

(Galatians 5:13 , 14; Ephesians 4:12 )

¨ Edify the body through the teaching of the Word

(2 Timothy 3:16 ; Hebrews 4:12 )

¨ Evangelize the lost through the sharing of the Gospel

(Acts 1:8 ; Romans 1:16 )
