Awana® is a non-denominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children and teenagers with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. The heartbeat of Awana® is reaching children around the world with the good news that Jesus Christ loves them and can save them from sin.  Each week, more than one million boys and girls in over 110 countries attend Awana® clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses and listen to Bible stories. From preschool to high school, children and youth have fun while being taught the Word of God.  The weekly Awana® clubs consist of a 90-minute club session featuring three segments: Game Time, Handbook Time and Council Time.
During Game Time, boys and girls play games on the unique Awana® Game Square. In Handbook Time, children work through age-appropriate handbooks memorizing Bible verses and doing activities ranging from patriotism to community service. They earn awards based on their work. The final segment, Council Time, consists of singing, puppets, Bible stories and lessons based on Christian principles. http://www.awana.org/

We are still in the midst of enjoying summer, but it is time to begin thinking about the fall and CLCBC Awana's start date for 2010-2011. Mark your calendars...our first club night is Thursday, August 26, 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm. We are looking forward to another great year in Awana!

The Awana Registration Fees Form & Awana Fee Checklist 2010-2011 will need to be printed out and brought in with your fees payment.

If you missed the July 30 deadline, fees will be calculated at the 2010-2011 prices (a small increase) and be collected at the first club meeting, August 26.

Our first Parent Meeting is a great opportunity to learn about each club's expectations for your child, new additions to each club's format, as well as receive the Parent Handbook and calendar, etc.
