Prison Ministry
PRISONMINISTRY_2009

The Prison Ministry visits Racine Youth Correctional Facility four times a year to worship and share the gospel. If you have a heart for youth and would like to visit please contact the church office, 847.838.0103. Every visitor must complete a registration process that take three weeks.

What Do Prison Ministry Visits Look Like?

-Our in-prison ministry focuses on bringing worship services quarterly to the male inmates at the Racine Youth Offender's Facility

-These young men held in a medium securtiy prison are between ages of 17-23 years old.

-On a typical Saturday morning, we leave CLCBC at 6:30 am. Passing through security check takes a bit and but we are ready for an hour long service beginning at 8:00 am. We open with prayer & music. Male volunteer shares from Bible. Volunteers have opportunity to share their testimonies in front of groups or one-on-one with inmates. Usual attendance is 20+ inmates

-Volunteers are always welcome and greatest need is for Bible teachers and music leaders.

-Volunteers must be over 18 and submit identification information at least 2 weeks prior to visit.

-Gospel given during service, encourages these young men in their faith to daily live for Christ in/out of prison.

-We have seen many young men (inmates) develop in their faith and become leaders in the worship services.

We are also developing a post-prison aspect to this ministry which will focus on the after-care of a Christian brother or sister just coming out of prison.
